In the middle of a fabulous stretch of warm and sunny weather, it was only fitting that the renovation work has finally come to an end and the Province’s first outdoor multi court and dedicated Pickleball facility was open to the public. Although a few players managed to get in a few games earlier this week thanks to the temporary net they brought with them, today was the first day that the closed sign was removed and the courts were open to greet the first crowd of enthusiastic players. Based on the quality of the playing surfaces and interior fencing to minimize interruptions from stray balls, don’t expect the crowds to get any smaller.
A big THANK YOU goes out to the Halifax Regional Municipality for everything they did to bring this project together and provide the local Pickleball community with such a great venue to enjoy our sport.
