Pickleball Nova Scotia would like to congratulate Ian MacDonald as the recipient of our 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award. Here’s a summary of what Ian has been up to….
-President of the Arisaig Pickleball Club since January 1, 2018.
-Pickleball Nova Scotia Zone Director and leader of pickleball initiatives in the Highland Region.
-Lead roll in developing the Arisaig Pickleball Complex – a dedicated 3 court facility with fencing, lighting and wheelchair accessibility.
-Chairperson of Pickleball Nova Scotia Provincial Championships and the 55+ Games Pickleball Championships in Antigonish in 2019.
-Helped develop pickleball clubs throughout the Highland Region.
-Arranged and instructed at pickleball clinics throughout the Highland Region.
-Coordinated all levels of pickleball clinics by top pickleball professionals throughout Nova Scotia.
-Raised money for numerous local charities through pickleball play opportunities.
-Certified IPTPA instructor and “Referee in Training”.
– a master at engaging community volunteers and government stakeholders
– As you can see, Ian’s motto is DREAM BIG.
