This week, a few groups of Nova Scotia pickleball players had the opportunity to sharpen their skills in one of the clinics and training sessions hosted by Mark Renneson of Third Shot Sports from Collingwood Ontario.
After more than two decades of coaching tennis, Mark shifted his focus to pickleball and in addition to being a high calibre player who regularly competes in the 5.0/Pro level at major events like the USAPA National Championships and the US Open, the majority of his time is now spent coaching pickleball.
There were two full-day clinics for players of various skill levels and these were held at the East Dartmouth Community Centre. There was also a one day event at the South Woodside School featuring an Advanced Drills clinic, private lessons and an Open Play session with In-Game Coaching.
Most pickleball players know Mark from his popular You Tube Channel in which he delivers training and coaching clips that are short, informative and come complete with a little bit of humour. (check him out here…. Third Shot Sports ) As a matter of fact, Mark recently received an award after his You Tube channel was recognized for surpassing over one million views !!
